GOVERNMENT EARLY YEARS ENTITLEMENT

Early Years Entitlement:

Somerset County Council will fund part-time Early Years Entitlement places for three and four year olds starting from the funding period after the child’s third birthday. This is called the Universal Entitlement. Two year olds that meet the eligibility criteria can also access funding. Please visit HERE to find out more about 2 year old funding. The early years entitlement gives your child a maximum of 570 hour each year. This will start the funding period after your child’s third birthday and will last for 3 funding periods (equivalent to one year).The maximum entitlement that can be claimed is 15 hours per week. The next entitlement year (starting the funding period after your child’s fourth birthday), your child will receive another automatic allocation of 570 hours, which will also last for 3 funding periods. This is all processed by the nursery, and you will be asked to fill in the necessary forms on a termly or yearly basis to claim your entitlement.

30 Hours of Funded Childcare:

From September 2017, some working parents will be entitled to an extra 15 hours per week early education and childcare for their 3 and 4 year old child on top of the current offer. Tax-Free Childcare:

You can claim up to £500 every 3 months (£2000 per year) for each of your children to help with the costs of childcare. If you get Tax-Free Childcare, the government will pay £2 for every £8 you pay your childcare provider via an online account. Please visit HERE for more information.

SESSIONS & FEES

We open from 7.30 to 5.30 all year round, for children aged from 3 months. We offer school holiday cover for children up to 7 years old and we only close for a week at Christmas and bank holidays. We pride ourselves on flexibility for working parents, only charging for the nearest quarter of an hour for their childcare needs.

We offer three types of contracts:

    Term time only = 39 weeks of the year

    Full time contract = 49 weeks of the year

    School holidays = 10 weeks of the year

    Minimum time - 3 hours per week

    £4.90 an hour (under 3 years old)

    £4.75 an hour (over 3 years old)

Meals:

    £0.50 breakfast (per day)

    £2.50 cooked lunch (per day)

    £2.50 high tea (per day)

    £4.60 cooked lunch & high tea deal (per day).
